Sally Introduces Self to Class

Sally is a second year graduate student in the Modern Languages Department at UTA. She received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Florida many years ago and decided to return to school after the high-tech bust of 2001. Prior to returning to school to study Spanish, she spent 32 years in the software industry, starting her career in the year that IBM created the 3rd party software industry by spinning off its software sales from hardware sales, 1969.

Sally lives in Dallas near SMU and, hopefully, not too close to the proposed George Bush Presidential Library (although her house appeared in the newspaper picture of the area). Sally is retired and enjoys swimming, gardening, and politics when she's not too busy with her school work.
